Making the Roads Safe for Pedestrians and Cyclists at Night

To save money, local authorities can choose to turn off street lighting for part of the night. Even though turning off the lighting is beneficial for the local wildlife, it does not ensure optimum safety for the public. The solution is to have continuous lighting during the night, but with reduced brightness to ensure people can continue to get around safely, whilst reducing energy consumption and associated bills.
